How It Works

Simple, from the first call to back on the road

  1. Call or leave your info

Tell us where you are and what's going on. During our hours, a real person answers — outside them, leave your info and we'll call you first thing.

  2. We head your way

We'll give you an honest estimate of when we'll arrive before we start driving.

  3. Back on the road

We handle the tire change, jump start, or fuel delivery on the spot, right where you're parked.

Why Breakdown Buddies

We're your neighbors, not a dispatch line

Breakdown Buddies was built for Oxford — not run out of a call center somewhere else. When you're stuck on the shoulder of Highway 7 or in a parking lot off Jackson Ave, you want someone who actually knows this town, not a stranger reading off a script.

We keep things straightforward: we tell you what's wrong, what it costs, and how long it'll take — before we start any work.

Where We Go

Serving Oxford and all of Lafayette County

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

We're on call Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and closed on Sundays. If you break down outside those hours, leave your name and number on our contact page and you'll be the first call we make when we're back open.

How much do your services cost?

A tire change is $100, a jump start is $65, and refueling is $60 — flat rates for our normal service area. Visit our Pricing & How It Works page for full details.

Do you come out to Ole Miss campus and student housing?

Yes. We regularly help students in campus lots, dorm parking, and off-campus housing around Oxford. See our Ole Miss roadside assistance page for details on parking access and game-day considerations.

What areas around Oxford do you serve?

We cover Oxford and Lafayette County within about 30 miles, including the Highway 6 and Highway 7 corridors. Check our Service Area page for the full rundown.

I ran out of gas on the highway — what do I do?

Get your hazards on, pull as far onto the shoulder as safely possible, and stay buckled in your car with your seatbelt on until help arrives if you're near traffic. Then call us and tell us your mile marker or the nearest exit — we'll bring enough fuel to get you to the nearest station.
